If you don't know what a Smart Contract is, then what you need to know is that it is basically a programs that runs on the blockchain. DeBets uses a Smart Contract to control and regulate the funds involved when you play games and to implement the logic for paying for your wins and withdrawals.
By submitting its source code to the block explorer the deployer of a Smart Contract can verify that the submitted source code matches the deployed contract. In this way the verified source code of the Smart Contract is publicly available in the block explorer and can be read and analized by anyone. By reading the source code it is possible to understand and determine accurately what the Smart Contract does.

Before telling you more about DeBets we want to emphasize the enormous benefits that you get as a player when playing games in DeBets, as opposed to gambling in a regular online Casino:

This allows you to completely rule out that the provider of the game has any control on how much you win or lose.	when you play games you never know if the results are being controlled or whether they are really only determined by chance. If you win a big amount you have no way to know if the Casino has sufficient funds to pay your wins. When a player requests the withdrawal of a large amount it can happen that the Casino is not able to process it because of lack of funds or because it is unable to transfer the requested amount in that moment. In this case the player is forced to wait, and sometimes things get even more frustrating because the support of the Casino is not able to provide any explanation.
